PROCESS OVERVIEW WORKSHOPS, A PROVEN METHODOLOGY

This workshop initiates Supply Chain Awareness and gives an introduction of Customer Knowledge Management and Procurement management and their interrelationships. Our methodsology is called Process Overview Workshops (POW). The Process Overview Workshops provide a framework to evaluate the complete business processes within an organisation.

By active learning in their own environment participants are enabled to change the passive modes into pro-active modes.

Your group is expected to score quick wins in the following areas:
  • Reduction of customer misfits or irritation.
  • Shortening the chain.
  • Improving Master data management.
  • Improving service levels.
  • Inventory reduction.

  • Reducing waste in informal communication and procedures.
  • Improving material flow (including return shipments).
  • Creating awareness for importance of complaints handling.
  • Sharing of and agreeing to an overview of bottlenecks and structural problem areas.
  • Cost savers in procurement through process integration and transparency.

    The POW will result in:
  • a tailored educational continuation program;
  • a project plan with set priorities.

    Multidisciplinary teams will be formed, consisting of participants who are selected within different levels of the organization, within one Supply Chain. For example Functional Supply Chain team or Management Team.

    The Process Overview Workshops are based upon three main themes:

    1. Strategic choices in CRM, Supply Chain and Procurement
    2. Projects, cases and reference visits
    3. Theoretical content of CRM, Supply Chain management, creative project management and introduction on theoretical Procurement

    During the workshops various existing problems will be evaluated, ranked by strategic choices and solved by the complete Supply Chain. The theoretical content for the distribution or production environment could contain the following items:

    The duration of the Process Overview Workshop is 6 to 12 working days, depending on the maturity of the participants and the final agenda.
